Manuel Antonio National Park was established in 1972 with 683 hectares (1,690 acres) of stunning and bio-diverse nature. This park has rainforests, four beaches, tidal pools, and coral reefs.
The pathways are wide and wheelchair friendly.
The park may be small by Costa Rica standards, but it is home to 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds making this the idea guided hike for nature lovers. On the hike, you might see both the two-toed and three-toed sloths, Racoons, and Coatie. Four types of monkeys call the park home: Howler, Capuchin, Squirrel monkey, and the Spider monkey. Among the 184 species of birds, you can see are Toucans, Tanagers, Parakeets, and Macaws.
The Manuel Antonio National Park is an amazing destination for those that want to be surrounded by nature. Park entrance is limited per day to avoid overcrowding and to maintain the peace for the wildlife so make sure you reserve early.
Your tour guides will pick you up at your lodging* and have you at the park for the 7 am start time. The tour is 2 hours and perfect for the whole family and all ages. Park is closed on Monday.
