This 4-in-1 Adventure Pass in the Rincon de la Vieja area is a must-do activity for anyone looking for an unforgettable day of adventure in Costa Rica. This fun-filled day includes ziplining, rappelling/rock climbing, white water tubing, a horse ride, hot springs, and you get a meal as well.
You will be introduced to your certified professional guides who will explain what they have in store for you. After being suited up with the proper safety equipment and going through procedure and demonstrations your adventure will begin at 8:30 am and is approximately 8 ½ hours.
The zipline consists of 7 cables suspend inside a canyon and above a river. During your zipline adventure, you will also do 2 Tarzan swings, 1 hanging bridge, a few rock-wall ladders and you can choose to do a 20-meter (65 foot) rappel and rock climb back up.
After your thrilling zipline, you can take a horse ride, a tractor ride, or hike to your next adventure: white water tubing on a river with class II & III rapids. The minimum age is 8 years old and must be at least 1.4 meters (4 foot, 6 inches) tall. The tubing is 5 kilometers (approx. 3 miles) long. The narrow rapids are broken up by wider calm pools that allow you to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature as you float downstream.
Reaching the pick-up point, you will be driven to your next activity: the naturally heated thermal hot springs and mud baths. A short walk along trails and overhanging bridges will get you to a variety of 10 natural-looking man-made pools that capture the volcanic water that lines a river that is perfect for taking a dip and cooling down in. There is hot, holistic, healing mud that is good for your skin. Cover yourself, relax, and lean back looking at the beautiful nature of this small valley. Keep your eyes open for the monkeys, the Blue Morpho butterfly, and a large variety of birdlife above. A wonderful way to relax and get a sense of what Costa Rica is all about.
When you are ready, your driver will be waiting to take you back to the adventure center. Across the road is the Farm to Table restaurant. Every item on the menu is grown on sight or sourced from nearby local family farms including the coffee. All ingredients are organic with sustainable farming practices.
